Ashley Lobo Beats 600 Entrants to Represent India to the World Dance Fest in Düsseldorf, Germany Acclaimed and noted choreographer and dance visionary Ashley Lobo’s Navdhara India Dance Theatre is set to represent India yet again on a global platform with his contemporary work ‘Amaara – A Journey of Love’. NIDT, which is the professional international contemporary touring company of The Danceworx Performing Arts Academy, is one among the top invited dance groups to perform at the world’s biggest contemporary dance gathering.
The Internationale Tanzmesse nrw 2018 hosts the largest professional gathering dedicated exclusively to contemporary dance from multiple countries across the world showcasing fifty dance performances over four days. It is a space where companies, artists, choreographers, local governments and agencies, programmers, festival and venue managers can present the work they do or represent artists with over 1900 professionals attending the event. The Festival Programme of the Tanzmesse is an opportunity for Tanzmesse Exhibitors to present their work live, in the form of fully produced performances or in the form of open studios, on eleven of the best stages for dance in Düsseldorf. Ashley Lobo and NIDT have been selected by the International Tanzmesse board of jury members from over 600+ applications from across the world and will be among the 50 best groups to showcase their work, ‘Amaara – A Journey of Love’.
