Pink Peacock Couture crafts the new-age bridal essentials steeped in vintage opulence

Drawing inspiration from the regalia of Indian heritage – vintage costumes, Art Deco architecture and larger-than-life archives of books, Pink Peacock Couture’s Spring Summer 22 offering titled, SITARA pens a love letter to the uninhibited joy of festivities, weddings and celebrations, which bring families and friends together.
In an attempt to capture the emotion and energy synonymous with a joyous Indian wedding, SITARA features snapshots of shaadi celebrations featuring models, who play out their part as the coy bride, dapper groomsmen and their boisterous entourage. Featuring a diverse array of models, the campaign celebrates the label’s inherent ethos of body positivity, inclusivity and age-lessness.
Setting an upbeat and exuberant mood for the post pandemic weddings, the design house celebrates the spirit of maximalism by artfully scaling up its core signature motifs. Reconciling its painstakingly realised hand embroideries with a modern global touch, the collection is a meeting point between the past and the present. Rooted in tradition but styled with an of-the-moment approach, the ensembles realised in a luscious palette of teal, marigold, coral, red and yellows are offset with muted neutrals. Tone on tone embroideries, visually arresting surface texturing and a focus on weightlessness of ensembles define this luminous outing.
The 3-D embroidered rose gold embellishments, shine-on tactile tassels lend a hint of drama to the ensembles crafted in satin organza, dupione soft tulle and tabby silk.
Talking about the collection, Masumi Mewawalla, Founder, Pink Peacock Couture shares, “With our trademark rose gold, statement-making embroidery techniques, we aim to redefine bridal dressing in India and let our beautiful Indian women feel truly special and have fun on the most significant day of their life. Indian designer Nikita Nayak, Showcases her Indie fusion collection at a show in London. Nikita has a strong background of Manufacturing and Fashion Management. She always had heart in designing which is why she came up with her own label in 2016 post which she presented her collection at many shows.

Nikita’s designs were really appreciated at the show as they were in beautiful shades of purple, rose gold , pink and red . the designs  had touch of Indian yet modern silhouette’s.

Delicate ruffles and fringes was the part the ensembles. While talking about the show she said that it was amazing to be part of this show, I am still not over the response and appreciation that I received.

The show was directed by renowned Fashion choreographer Lokesh Sharma. Who was the only show director in the show as well as from India.

Bangalore will soon witness a fashion revolution with Gala 1 of Glitterati 18. It’ll be a Designer Collective Week bought to you by Pixie World Creations.The fashion symposium is going to be a two -day affair of luxurious brands and labels across country on 6th and 7th September 2018.

Ace Choreographer Ramesh Dembla will direct the show whereas Designers like Sadan Pandey, Mr Aslam Khan, Mr Naveen, Miss Tanya many more shall showcase their collection at the do. Designers Purva Patel, Ruchika Hurria, Payal Sethi, Rajdeep Ranawat, showcased their collections at ‘Gennex 2018’ fashion show.

26^th April 2018, New Delhi: Neha Ankit Sarna, founder of Gennex India and Big Boy Toyz hosted an extravagant fashion show, ‘Gennex Fashion show 2018’ in a majestic blend of showcasing fashion and trends glamorously on April 24th, 2018 at Roseate House, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Established back in 2017 by a Delhi based young woman, Neha Ankit Sarna is a graduate in Journalism from Wigan and Leigh College, Delhi, GENNEX is an impressive concept.

With the idea and motive to become a helping hand and support the designers so as to provide them with a platform to showcase their designs and talent to the audience, the company has been organizing events and shows in the city to make space for upcoming, lesser-known talents for a year now.

Serving the purpose and prime motive of the organization with the intention behind it, many fashion-designers across the country assembled to showcase some of their unique collections for this fall at the rendezvous led by the Creative head of the fashion show and host, Neha Ankit Sarna.

Ace designers Ruchika Hurria, Payal Sethi, Ritambhara Paliya, Rajdeep Ranawat, and Purva Patel exhibited their beautiful outfits with the models on the ramp adding a taste of glamour in the fashion night along with the team of people like Nitin Arora, the Photographer, Purva Petel’s model Makeup artist Jhanvi Kaur, model Makeup artist Sewak Singh (guru), Choreographer- Ketan Bhatiya, Stylist-Shanya Arora and Costume Designer- Sagri Rawal who extended their support in making the show a super hit.

Apart from the designers and the Gennex team, the event was graced by the company of special guests of the evening, Former Pond’s Femina Miss India and Bollywood Actress Zoya Afroz accompanied by the celebrity models Krishna Somani and Sonam Chhabra jatin Ahuja, Ritika Ahuja, Puraskar Thadani, meakup artist Minakshi dutt, designer Mukesh and Sammy Katyal.

Wrapping up the show and the evening, designer Purva Patel along with her Model Preeti Bhora came as show stopper on the ramp followed by the uninterrupted echo of applause resonating in the venue, her makeup was done by Makeup artist Jahnvi Kaur.

In the warm company of such prominent names from the fashion industry and gorgeous models, the stage was set on fire. The zeal in the audience played a pivotal role in making the event and Gennex India’s dream project Gennex 2018, a big success.
